Caffe Prima literally means “first coffee” and we are all about extracting excellence from each roast and coffee-making method.
Having shaped our coffee after the Italian tradition of roasting and blending, we roast Arabica beans several times a day in an Italian imported Petroncini roaster at our Christchurch owned-and-operated roastery. We work in batches to ensure freshness and have selected beans from around the globe that are most suited to each style of brewing – both crucial elements in securing a serious cup of coffee.

Caffe Prima started out in small city garage in 1995 with its first home blends, Blue Mountain and Diva. Since then, we have moved premises to a warehouse roastery in the industrial area of Woolston, where our small team of coffee fanatics have used their extensive experience to craft a comprehensive range of blends and assemble a line-up of stylish coffee paraphernalia.
